Ekeyo Empowerment Foundation Inaugurates, Takes Over Sponsorship of Nine Undergraduates Through University Education

However, we believe our investment in education always pays the best interest in youths of a nation bringing empowerment in our future leaders making our nation empowered by capable leaders.

Education and empowerment are topics too sensitive to be left to class teachers and the government alone. That is why well-meaning individuals and corporate bodies take up these very critical responsibilities to help add value to humanity and the society. Essentially, all humanity needs to thrive is love.

Ekeyo Empowerment Foundation was founded based on the above reasons.
It's inauguration which held on the 17th of March 2018, was an occasion that would remain a red-letter day in the minds of nine youngsters as they went back home knowing that their university education is guaranteed and that love still does exist.
'Ekeyo', which means 'Mother of Children' in the Oron speaking dialect of Akwa Ibom State, was founded by US based ‘Naomi Mcoliver, a lady with a heart of gold and compassion and has begun living up to its name.
The Foundation's vision as clearly stated on its website is
'To be a global partner in the pursuit of human development, the eradication of ignorance and the alleviation of poverty amongst young people' and has as its mission, 'To empower the indigent, young minds and help them rediscover and pursue their God-given potentials for purposeful service and dedication to humanity'.

The event which was well attended by parents, teachers, government officials, politicians and well-wishers took place at the Sky Point International Hotel and Suites, Oron, Akwa Ibom State, and was anchored by Mrs Angela Mesikenor, an Aunt of Ms. McOliver, who was unavoidably absent. However, Ms. McOliver in her keynote address promised that this will be the beginning of something great for Africa and beyond. Find below pictures from the event...
